Flu Season Is Just Around The Corner


 

2022-2023 flu vaccine will be available starting September 19, 2022. According to the CDC, “Routine annual influenza vaccination is recommended for all persons aged 6 months and older who do not have contraindications” (MMWR 2019, August 23). This includes pregnant women and people with medical conditions

Influenza vaccines are given at your local health department office from 8:30am until 4:30pm, Monday through Friday, please contact your local health department office for an appointment.

The vaccine costs cost is $60 for regular flu vaccine and $100 for high dose vaccine. We are able to file with most major insurance companies. Children ages 6mth to 18 years can receive the vaccine at no cost.. Medicaid and Medicare are also accepted. Children, ages 6 months through 18 years of age can receive the flu vaccine at no cost.

If you have a large group, such as an industry or agency or church group that needs the vaccine, please call your local health department to arrange for a nurse to come out and give the vaccine.
